HOPE STATION SPOTLIGHT:

We are reaching new GOALS with the Nashville Predators Foundation.

Did you know? There are numerous successful athletes who were raised by single mothers, including tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, Michael Phelps, Shaquem Griffin, Simone Biles and Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt. Their mothers played a significant role in their lives, serving as role models and providing support and encouragement along the way.

Supporting Hope Station means giving children in single-parent homes the basic necessities, such as shelter, that may not be easily affordable for the parent. Additionally, it can help them access educational and extracurricular opportunities that can positively impact their future.

CRISIS TO HOPE:

Over 185 people have called us in crisis in the previous weeks.

Hear one HOPE filled experience.

A mother who was suffering from a critical illness called us in a crisis. The mother explained" Got a little behind on my bills trying to pay things off and my doctor bills from my Lupus I started infusions recently. I am almost back together just needing a little help with my rent this month." Our ability to assist this woman with her costs on May 10 will allow her to concentrate on health and being there for her children.

HOPE STATION BEHIND THE SCENES:

Meet Abi Stevens.

If you ask Abi who her best buddy is, you won't be surprised to learn that it's her dog, Max. When she discovered she had a severe anxiety issue in college, she found him. He holds a very unique place in her heart because he has helped her overcome numerous panic episodes. Abi is most likely going to be outside if you ever run into her. She enjoys hiking and kayaking in addition to playing volleyball and pickleball frequently. She spends a lot of time at her church as well. If you ever attend a HopeStation potluck you can find Abi helping herself to the sushi or the hot wings because she adores both dishes.

Did you know? 63% of suicides nationwide are individuals from single-parent families.

We are bringing Hope to single parent families in our community by providing free therapy sessions. Please consider giving a one-time gift of $15 to help provide a single mother therapy and the opportunity to overcome trauma, pain and other mental health challenges.
