Henry David Thoreau once wrote, "In the morning I bathe my intellect in the stupendous and cosmogonal philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita, in comparison with which our modern world and its literature seem puny and trivial."
We invite you to bathe your own intellect in this stupendous philosophy every Thursday night from 7pm-8pm, starting July 14th!
Join Narada Muni das, one of our meditation teachers and a longtime student of Bhagavad Gita, in a casual and welcoming environment. Each week, Narada Muni das will move through the Bhagavad-gita a few verses per night, allowing time for Q/A and Kirtan.
No previous knowledge or experience is required and you may begin attending at any time. Free of charge.
If you would like to follow along with your own copy (optional), we will have books available for purchase for $3-10. If bringing your own, be sure to have the version called Bhagavad-gita as-it-is by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. You may also want to bring a notebook, pencil, and bookmark.
The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient text, full of wisdom that can guide our modern lives and help us to live a more meaningful life. Written down 5,000 years ago and passed on orally before that, it is the most widely read and revered literature on attaining transcendental knowledge and spiritual awakening from the ancient yoga teachings. We look forward to sharing it with you!
