August has arrived and it’s a month to soak up the remaining days of summer weather, and enjoy time with family and friends before the back-to-school madness.

We’re excited to share some of our work with another client, DoorDash. You may know DoorDash as a restaurant and grocery delivery service, but their impact goes beyond that – DoorDash works to broaden food access in communities across the country. We’ve had the opportunity to work with them on community engagement and connect them to organizations that are doing great work in and around Boston. See below to learn more about our collective work and goals.

There are so many great things to look forward to in the city to fully enjoy the last dog days of summer. Check out our Upcoming Events below.

As always, we love to hear from you so follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn! We appreciate your continued support and engagement with CHA.

On July 20, Conan Harris represented CHA client DoorDash at the No Books No Ball kickoff event. No Books No Ball (NBNB) is a Roxbury-based nonprofit committed to mentoring youth through education and athletics.

In their commitment to broadening food access, DoorDash is sponsoring NBNB’s 2024 Safe Summer League Games. DoorDash’s sponsorship will cover the cost of food and other program supplies for over 425 children, each week throughout the summer season.

This month we’re happy to feature Task Force member Robert Lewis Jr., Nicholas President and Chief Operating Officer of the Boys & Girls Club.

In 2022 Robert Lewis, Jr. was named as the new Nicholas President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Boston. Lewis became the 16th leader of the organization in its 129-year history of youth development in the Boston area.

Robert has a long history of nonprofit and community leadership, and is known as a catalyst for collaboration between diverse business, civic and public sectors and a tireless advocate for urban youth. He is a sought after nationally recognized thought leader, public speaker, and social innovator.

Since joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston in 2022, he has set the organization on a new strategic course with a broader focus on health, education, and workforce readiness, all essential components to a child’s holistic development.
