Essential news for the UCSF community

Kids are typically germ spreaders,
but things look different for COVID-19.

UCSF has signed a formal agreement with local labor for the construction of a new hospital.

Researchers identified the neurons most vulnerable to toxic tangles.

I hadnt really laughed at anything for maybe five years, but I suddenly felt a genuine sense of glee and happiness, said the patient.

Once UCSF received its first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 16, it was all hands on deck. Even Chancellor Hawgood volunteered as a dose runner at the Parnassus Heights vaccine clinic. UCSF expects to administer about 1,600 doses per day and has already begun administering second doses to frontline employees. See the Instagram post or volunteer.
