“Artificial intelligence is obviously a big issue in academia these days,” says Payton MacDonald, professor and chair of the music department. “These programs are here, and this project gives us an opportunity to explore how they do or don’t work as part of the creative process.”
The three-day event, hosted by WP's Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales, attracts top sales students from the U.S. (and beyond) as competitors, with executives from major corporations serving as judges. There were 25 teams competing this year – 22 from universities in the U.S., two from Canada, and one from Hong Kong.
