Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
This is a perfect Scripture for today:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. ( 2 Corinthians 5:17)
Upon the first day of a new Gregorian calendar year, 2024, as opposed to the Hebrew new year, it's almost standard for many of us to make "new resolutions."
Question: before you and I do so, are you and I "in Christ?" Did you and I earlier turn about face, 180 degrees away from the world and the flesh, having actually exercised our free will, humbly converting, to come by faith into His Kingdom, and in that Way we're "new" ? (Acts 3:19.)
It's only through repentance that one enters the Kingdom (Luke 13:1-5; Matthew 4:17).
And then, before making resolutions, do you and I make them after having "dined" with the Lord? Revelation 3:20 is right on point: " Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
The Risen Christ, the Holy Spirit Teacher, knocks at the door of our minds and hearts, wanting you and me to open the door to Him, for His Wisdom, as we "chew over" old worldly or fleshly patterns no longer needed. Having confessed and repented from any such old sin stronghold, any old filter of Him and His Way, you and I are on His path of becoming an "overcomer." He invites you and me to sit with Him as He overcame and sat down with His Abba Father. (Revelation 3:21).
God bless you ! Happy New 2024! Join me in making some new resolutions in Christ, a new creation in Him, based on His Wisdom, removing the old patterns no longer needed.
As you and I step out on His Path we are doing our part in Cleansing His Bride for His soon return!
