Immediately following fundraising Team captains are called upon in order of funds raised to select their Trailblazer + Prize combo. Who the Golf Classic Supports:

  • Birch Equipment founded, manages and underwrites the tournament so that 100% of proceeds go to the non-profit recipient organizations who are supported for a 3 year term. We are in year 3 of supporting:

  • Key Works (Formerly Key Recovery & Life Skills Center) - Funds go to help increase their capacity to support people by offering long term residential clinical treatment, work skills training and transitional housing. Residents learn life and work skills in job placement at their sister recycling company that pays minimum of 20% over minimum wage and provides on-the-job training in business and technical positions.

  • Whatcom / Skagit Detox - Funds go to a new Birch Golf Classic requested program where staffing delivers post-detox patients to their next steps in recovery vs the former process of giving post-detox patients bus passes and/or cab fare. Our hope is that this program becomes a detox norm of continuation of care in the United States.
