GOED is pleased to welcome Jesse Fonkert as new Deputy Commissioner. He began his duties on September 1. Fonkert's extensive experience in economic development will make an invaluable contribution to our team.

Governor Kristi Noem has taken on the challenge of the ongoing workforce shortage in South Dakota. The "Freedom Works Here" campaign has been met with overwhelming reception and is garnering attention nationwide.
