New Design Created For Charity!
Greetings!
Stephanie's Charity Quilt

Stephanie B. made a quilt for raising praise for the Portage School district's [PCES], which is for Special Ed teachers. When the teachers show up for orientation, they put their name in for a drawing of prizes.

Stephanie's quilt is one of the prizes. It was made from the pattern Jelly Roll Race, from Missouri Star Quilt Company. She wanted to do a DIY [Do It Yourself - machine rental] at Forever In Stitches.

Before she started her quilting, she inquired if we had an Indian logo for the quilt. We had done one in our Western theme group. However, when Ruth looked on the web, their Indian was significantly different from the one than what we had.

Solution: Ruth designed a set of edge-to-edge patterns that would reflect the old, Indian logo along with the new flying "P", with arrows behind it. This was Stephanie's ninth DIY. She was worried about the outcome. But, the quilt stitching "transformed" the project.

You can see the stitching below.
