The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for New York City from 6:00am on Thursday, February 18 to 6:00am on Friday, February 19. The City can expect heavy snow, with accumulations totaling 4 to 8 inches. Roads may be dangerous, so use mass transportation if possible. Beginning Monday, February 22, the overnight subway closure will be shortened to 2:00am - 4:00am nightly. This allows the MTA to enhance service for customers as the city cautiously reopens while still maintaining their concerted effort to deep clean and disinfect the system.
