New Applications of Digital Tools

AGRIS Cooperative has been conducting trials with our newest Digital Tool called “myFSagronomy.” Developed by Growmark, this innovative web-based program offers several unique features designed to enhance crop management.

Key features include:

  • Field Boundaries and Satellite Imagery: Weekly satellite imagery captures detailed field data, providing timely insights.

  • Paired App for Crop Specialists and Customers: This app connects crop specialists with farmers, facilitating crop scouting reports and the in-season transfer of critical crop management information.

  • Automated Machine Data Integration: If the farmer chooses to share, machine data such as planting dates, crops, hybrids, and varieties are automatically connected, starting the tracking of growing degree days to predict crop growth stages.

These features offer a quick dashboard view of crop status, helping farmers and crop specialists to assist in properly aligning key management activities with critical growth stages. This application focuses on in-season crop management, in addition, to rainfall tracked for each field. Further capability is under development to track crop diseases with a network of spore traps and weather modeling to rank the risk of disease reaching actionable levels. This is a new initiative for AGRIS  Cooperative currently under evaluation, with more updates coming soon.

A screenshot of a typical dashboard shows the number of fields being tracked for each crop and the ability to sort fields by critical growth stages. For example, how many soybean fields are in R1 growth stage? The program will produce a list of fields and drive efficiency to determine which fields might be at risk for crop disease and need a fungicide application.
