New Discovery: A Single-Stranded Trivalent mRNA Vaccine

Recently, researchers designed a single-stranded trivalent mRNA vaccine that demonstrated exceptionally high immune protection in mice, effectively defending against monkeypox and smallpox virus infections. They selected the soluble expression regions of three key antigens—A35R, M1R, and B6R—and cleverly arranged them using AlphaFold2 technology. This allowed the three antigens to be linked together on a single mRNA strand, ensuring that the neutralizing antibody epitopes were exposed on the surface.

Key Antigen Proteins: Monkeypox Vaccine Development

Most monkeypox vaccines were developed based on the membrane proteins M1R, A29L, E8L, and H3L of IMV and envelope proteins B6R and A35R of EEV. Each of these proteins has shown potential in developing a monkeypox vaccine! ACROBiosystems has developed antigens and antibodies in response to the vaccine development for monkeypox virus, including:

A35R, B6R, M1R,  A17L, A29L, A30L, A33R, E8L, H3L, L1R

Unlocking MPXV Vaccines with High-quality Reagents

The quantification of monkeypox vaccine antigens and the evaluation of in vitro potency rely heavily on high-quality antigens and antibodies. The M35R monkeypox antigen protein from ACROBiosystems' product and its specific antibodies can be used to conduct an accurate efficacy evaluation of the monkeypox vaccine.

Validation Data

Immobilized Monkeypox virus (strain Zaire-96-I-16) A35R, His Tag (Cat. No. A3R-M52H3) at 5 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Anti-Monkeypox-A35R-Antibody with a linear range of 0.1-3 ng/mL (QC tested).
