Dunham Technique is a groundbreaking dance technique that blends ballet, modern dance, jazz, and movement traditions from across the African Diaspora (including Haiti, Cuba, & Brazil).
More than a technique, Dunham’s work is a cultural philosophy that teaches dancers to understand the history, rhythm, and meaning behind each movement. It emphasizes groundedness, isolation, fluidity, and the connection between body and spirit, making it one of the most influential and culturally rich dance forms in the world.
We are honored to welcome Dr. Albirda Rose for this special week of learning.
