The organization is a new force for progressive change representing young Democrats on the Westside of Los Angeles County. Its executive board reviews questionnaire responses from candidates in various races to determine which ones they will endorse.
WYD is a channel that amplifies the voice of young people when it comes to affordable housing, mobility and transit, economic development, education, and labor issues. It is mobilizing young Angelenos to develop relationships with elected officials and promote progressive policies.
Much like WYD, I believe in a Los Angeles that is equitable, affordable, and sustainable. A way to ensure this is to nurture progressive values of young people and engage them in the Democratic party.
