David D'Arcangelo Appointed Commissioner of Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB)
The former director of the Massachusetts Office on Disability, David D'Arcangelo, was named Commissioner of MCB. The commission supports residents who are legally blind or who have low vision with a progressive visual impairment to live and enjoy  full community participation.

NH Governor's Commission on Disability's Focus on Service Animals
In New Hampshire, and according to the Americans with Disabilities Act, you may bring your service dog into any public accommodation, including fairs and festivals.

Fair Housing Act Section 504 and ADA Web Course Logo
This free course, available 24/7, covers the rights of people with disabilities in housing under the Fair Housing Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The focus is on reasonable accommodations and reasonable modifications. Duration: 2 hours to complete.

Test Your Drug Testing Knowledge for Addiction Recovery Month
Take a quiz to test your understanding of drug testing. Several questions are available to inform when it is appropriate to test for drugs. For example, "When are drug tests allowed?"

EEOC Seal
Recently, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued final rules under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Genetic I nformation Nondiscrimination Act (GINA). The  u ncertainty  in regulatory guidance will be a major consideration for employers. The Court questions whether the 30% incentive/penalty really means that a wellness program is truly voluntary.

Dunkin' Donuts Gets Burned by ADA Decision
In a plaintiff-friendly decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit sided with a blind man to find that his allegations of website inaccessibility were sufficient to move his Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) suit forward.
