New England Leadership Development Program (LDP) Cohorts 4 and 5

The New England ATTC held the 4th cohort of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) for addiction professionals from across the continuum of care for participants in the Region 1 New England States in partnership with AdCare Educational Institute of New England and the New England PTTC. We have been in the process of preparing for the launch of the 5th cohort of the LDP to start in April. Read more... | |

In partnership with the Health Education and Training Institute of Maine (HETI) for Region 1, we are conducting systems-wide intensive TA initiatives in MI with the state of New Hampshire Drug Courts and the State of Massachusetts Office of Community Corrections. Over the reporting period, participants first received basic MI and Advanced MI training. Then, participants began to receive monthly and bi-monthly Zoom calls for coaching, coding, and skills building in order to ensure fidelity to the MI model and increase its effectiveness. Wraparound Virtual Training Series for Substance Use Treatment Professionals in Rhode Island | |

In partnership with the Parent Support Network of Rhode Island, the New England ATTC presented the "Wraparound Virtual Training Series" throughout February and March 2021 with subject matter expert Michele Stewart-Copes. Wraparound refers to individualized planning and intervention for individuals and family members experiencing behavioral health issues, and related community obstacles surrounding substance use and mental health. Social Determinants of Health: Their Impacts on Disparities, Discriminatory Practices, and the Need to Develop and Deliver Services Grounded in Equity | | |
The New England ATTC hosted a training with subject matter expert Haner Hernandez on "Social Determinants of Health: Impacts on Disparities, Discriminatory Practices, and the Need to Develop and Deliver Services Grounded in Equity" for The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of Rhode Island on March 4th. This workshop introduced participants to how social determinants of health contribute to disparities and marginalization in the US. | |

Addiction Health Services Research (AHSR) Conference and Monthly Workshops

The New England ATTC hosted the annual Addiction Health Services Research (AHSR) Conference held on October 14-16, 2020 as a virtual event with regional and national reach connecting 386 researchers, policymakers, funders, and community members. Since that time the New England ATTC has continued to host monthly AHSR workshops focused on key topics in addiction health services including understanding the effects of state opioid policies, determining the cost-effectiveness of different interventions, tips to launching a successful career for early investigators, and building your career as an NIH researcher.
