New England Dairy Launches Give A Gallon Campaign

Yesterday we launched a regional marketing campaign asking New Englanders to donate milk to their local food bank through GiveAGallon.com. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that people want to find ways to help - donating milk helps dairy farmers by securing a market for their milk and families who are struggling with food insecurity.
 
This campaign will run throughout the month of May and includes digital and TV advertising, shareable social media content, newsletter articles, and our website. The ad will run on television stations across New England through Friday, May 15.
New England Fluid Milk Sales Snapshot

Milk volume at retail in New England is up 3.9% year to date compared to this time last year. Lactose free, refuel, and omega-3 milk are growth categories throughout the region. W hole milk sales are up 8.3% year to date, outpacing low-fat milk as consumers look to more nutritious options.
Milk Donation in Boston

Dairy Farmers of America, Vanguard Renewables and H.P. Hood have partnered to distribute 10,000 gallons of free milk during a May 7th event in Boston.
Vermont Foodbank Donation

We were proud to be part of a tremendous effort to send milk and yogurt to the  Vermont Foodbank  to help those in need. Beginning this week, product will be produced on a weekly basis and donated to the VT Foodbank in amounts 1,152 gallons of milk for 10 weeks and 3,500 cases of yogurt throughout the month of May. The Vermont Foodbank, which serves more than 153,000 individuals each year, has seen an increase of up to 100% in demand since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

May 16: Virtual Vermont Breakfast on the Farm

We've been a proud partner of Vermont Breakfast on the Farm since it began in 2015. Due to COVID-19, this year's event will be held virtually on May 16 at 9:30am at Newmont Farm. Participants will join Will and Brooke Gladstone to learn about life on a dairy farm and can participate in a live Q+A.
