Welcome! New Family FAQs

We hope you are having a wonderful summer! Here are the most common back-to-school questions we receive...

When is the first day of school?

Wednesday, August 27th. 

When will we get our supply lists?

They will be posted no than July 29th in our Tuesday Note (if you are not receiving the Tuesday Note, please let me know). 

When will we know our teacher and class placement in PreK and K?

Preschool and Kindergarten families will be notified of their classroom and teachers by August 1st.

When will we hear from our teachers?

PreK and Kindergarten Faculty will reach out to the parents in their classes by August 11th. Grades Faculty set their own schedules, but typically reach out no later than 1 week before school.  

When will we meet the teacher and drop off supplies?

The morning of August 25th. Check the Tuesday Note for more details.

When is Orientation?

The evening of August 26th at 6PM in our gymnasium. We look forward to answering all your questions at this adults only event. Stay afterwards for our whole-community Welcome Back Dinner!

When / Where is school day drop off and pick up?

FOR PREK and KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES

• Drop off:
• 8:15 – 8:30 am
• Park in the right-hand side lot and walk children to their waiting teachers outside in our Meadow. There will likely be a line as the teachers greet each child.
• Pick Up:
• Park in the right-hand side lot and queue up near our EC lot school door to receive your child at either Noon (half day) or 3:20pm (full day). Children will be waiting on the pathway benches.

FOR GRADES 1-8 STUDENTS

• Drop off:
• 8:15 – 8:30 am
• Pull into our Oval to drop children off by the main entrance door. Parents are also welcome to park (in any spot) and walk students to their classroom entering at the Main Door. 
• Pick Up:
• 3:20 - 3:30 pm
• Pull into our Oval to pick up children. Parents may also park and walk to the dismissal square (sidewalk at the top of the Oval) to pick up on foot.
