NEW IBERIA, La. (July 20, 2017) --
The much anticipated grand opening of Da Berry Fresh Market is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in New Iberia.
Festivities will be held from noon - 1 p.m., with the ribbon cutting to take place at 12:30 p.m.
Local vendors have been providing homemade goods for the shelves at the market which is now open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Delicious produce is growing in the garden behind the market and will soon be available to shoppers. Manager Carl Cooper, Jr. hopes that the Fresh Market will be a destination for those in search of locally grown produce, a place to sit and chat with friends, or a quiet spot to sit and meditate.
This newest initiative of Envision da Berry promises to spark lots of new creativity in the neighborhood. The combination farm stand, garden, meeting place and meditation center will offer endless possibilities.
