Check out the new Features! (It keeps getting better!)

One thing I love about Lessonpix is that new features, templates, and pictures are added live, with no additional fees or downloads. Here is a look of some of the latest updates...

  • Search the Templates... With so many new templates being added, it may be difficult to find what you need. Now, you can type the name of the template to find it quicker.

  • Preview the Styles... After you choose the template, you can see a preview in many of the templates. The preview will show the template with numbers to show the order of the pictures.

  • Filter by Syllables.... When searching using the Soundfinder tools, you can now filter your results to find specific number of syllables.

 New Templates Too!
We love our users' great ideas for new templates. Here are some of the new templates added as recommended by our users....

Pictures on a bookmark can be used for learning activities, reading strategies cues, or retelling / summarizing. Students may write on the bookmarks to take notes or answer specific questions. These bookmarks can be color-coded behind each picture for specific purpose or organization.

The Daily Report Template is a form layout that can be used to write reports, project notes, or parent communication. You may choose 1 to 10 boxes that contain a picture and text labels.

This template has a large themed picture with smaller pictures hidden within it. The hidden pictures are listed on the right side of the page. This template comes in color or black and white. (When you choose black and white, color pictures in your tray will lose their color.) This is great for scanning and teaching vocabulary.

Flashcards can be used for drills, games, visuals, or communication starters. This template create 4 cards per page. Text can be placed above or below the picture.

Fortune Tellers, called Cootie Catchers, are a children's game in the form of an origami paper fortune teller. The teller holds the cootie catcher in their fingers and asks a partner questions. Fortune Tellers can be custom made at LessonPix using specific pictures and numbers.

This one page visual shows two people talking about the same topic or topics. You can choose the picture(s) to go inside the speech bubble and refer to the visual as a reminder to stay on topic. The speech bubble can hold up to 3 pictures. This allows the facilitator to point out up to 3 topics that will be discussed sequentially or 3 related pictures as visual cue to different components of one topic.

This versatile template is similar to a first-then choice board. It shows a "first" that by default say, "When I am...". The second part "then" says "I can...".  The second part shows up to 9 different pictures. The text can be changed to anything you choose for more options.
We hope you like and will use these great new templates. There are more templates and features in development - so many great ideas.... Just keep the ideas coming!
