Flood Awareness Tool Available for Camden County
A Flood Awareness Tool is now available on the Camden County website to assist users with making educated decisions about potential flooding. Approximately 35% or 17,000 of Camden County’s residents live within the 100-year floodplain. Three coastal rivers flow through the County, and 50% of the land is classified as wetlands. Camden experiences the effects of sea level rise, storm surge, regular riverine flooding, and king tides.  

Planning Staff Obtains ICC Certifications
International Code Council
The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce the recent obtainment of International Code Council (ICC) certifications by two members of the Planning & Development Department staff. Building Inspector Ernest “Petie” Kemp received his Residential Building Inspector certification and Planning & Development Clerk Cassandra Turpin received her Permit Technician and Zoning Inspector certifications.

Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting
The Camden County Board of Commissioners will hold a Regular Meeting at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021. This meeting will be held in-person in accordance with social distancing COVID-19 Pandemic guidelines and ensuing restrictions on gatherings.

Advance In-Person Voting Opportunities for Kingsland Special Election
The Camden County Board of Elections & Registration (BoER) is pleased to announce Advance In-Person Voting opportunities beginning Monday, February 22, 2021. Registered voters in the City of Kingsland are eligible to vote in the March 16, 2021 Special Election to fill the unexpired term of Council Post #3.
