While homegrown vegetables nourish our bodies, homegrown flowers nourish our souls. Yesterday we introduced our new veggies and herbs. Missed it? See them HERE. Today we're sharing our new flowers.
Our newest flower (and foliage!) selections are sure to amaze you, and brighten your beds and bouquets. We've added a whopping four new Poppies this year, as well as three new Marigolds, four new Cosmos varieties, a red-hot bedding Zinnia mixture, a new series of improved Salvias and so much more!

The Supreme Shirley Poppy Mixture
Papaver rhoeas. This giant-flowered Shirley Poppy blooms twice as long as others, with fully double flowers in tones of pale pink and cherry, brightening variably to white at the flowers' centers. Some appear almost completely white with a brushed picotee edge. Annual. Height: 18" to 30".

Butterfly Pea
Clitoria ternatea. The Butterfly Pea is an ornamental vine from Thailand with 1½" long, vivid blue flowers with pale yellow centers. The flowers are sometimes used as a natural dye for fabric, but they are most often brewed into a vivid blue tea that turns to purple or pink when lemon juice is added. Annual. Height: 10'.

Swan Plant
Gomphocarpus physocarpus. This South African Milkweed's straight stems of blue-green, lance-like leaves grow up to 6' tall, and its clusters of swept-back, dangling, waxy white flowers have violet accents and give way to groups of seed pods that look like hairy, lime green balloons up to 3" wide. Tender perennial. Height: 4' to 6'.

Salmon Shades Strawflowers
Helichrysum bracteatum. Strawflowers are great for fresh and dried bouquets--their vivid colors are retained once dried. Pick the flower heads before fully open, and wire them before drying. This new mix is luscious shades of salmon pink, from pale to vivid, with a yellow center when fully open. Gorgeous! Annual. Height: 24" to 30".

Picotee Sensation Cosmos
Cosmos bipinnatus. Part of the wonderful Sensation Series of Cosmos, each pure white petal of these stunning 3"-wide blooms is edged in vivid dark pink. It's an intriguing addition to bouquets. Annual. Height: 3' to 5'.

The Soluna Sunflower Mixture
Helianthus annuus. These petite, free-flowering Sunflowers are perfect for bouquets! The 3"-wide flowers grow on chest-high, well-branched stems in shades of cream, gold, lemon and bronze with dark centers. Annual. Height: 40" to 46".

Orchid Cassis Nasturtium
Tropaeolum majus. This tidy, compact Nasturtium is buttery yellow with cassis blotches and a subtle edging of speckled red. As with all Nasturtiums, the flowers are edible! Annual. Height: 12".

Centaurea cyanus. Bachelor's Buttons are as gorgeous as they are versatile and practical. Mauve Boy is a unique addition to our lineup, with flowers in an intriguing shade of ultraviolet-pink. Hardy Annual. Height: 3'.

Midnight Poppy
Papaver somniferum. This Poppy's single blooms are up to 4" wide and deep, velvety burgundy-purple with a ruff of pale lavender to buff anthers. Perennial. Height: 30" to 36".

Tagetes patula. This compact, low-growing Marigold has 2"-wide, pale lemon yellow blooms with flouncy petal edges and a broad button center. It's truly unique! Annual. Height: 10".

Salvia splendens. This unusual bedding Salvia flaunts dense, bicolored tubular flowers in pale pink and citrus orange that blend to a salmon effect. It's part of the new and improved Amore Series of Salvias. Annual. Height: 10" to 14".

The Zahara Bonfire Zinnia Mixture
