City engineers are completing the design work for Phase 2 of Franklin Boulevard from Mississippi Avenue to Lexington Avenue.
Why do the project?
Long-term goals aim to connect nearby neighborhoods, deliver significant environmental benefits, and improve safety for travelers by adding continuous sidewalks, and safer more convenient connections to the regional bicycle network.
How is the project being funded?
Federal funding was received through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant.
What is the project schedule?
Construction is being planned for 2027.
