The Camera Three Archive


For 25 years (since its first broadcast in 1956), Camera Three was America’s top anthology arts program.


The series featured programs showcasing drama, ballet, art, music, film, literature and anything involving fine arts. Live performances by such musicians as Nina Simone, Mahalia Jackson, Son House, Lotte Lenya, Ian & Sylvia and Bill Evans were featured along with In-depth interviews with iconic artists and filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese, Twyla Tharp, Merce Cunningham, Josef von Sternberg, Rene Clair, Harold Pinter, Alfred Hitchcock and 100s of others.


Historic Films is proud to announce the availability of clips and programs from this important arts series. The team at Historic Films is currently in the process of scanning and digitizing the original kinescopes and tape masters.
