The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced the new funding opportunity on Oct. 1 as phase 3 of the Provider Relief Fund, while adding an additional $20 billion in assistance. The program is administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Providers eligible for this phase of funding are:
- Providers who were previously eligible for a Provider Relief Fund distribution but did not apply.
- Providers who previously received, rejected or accepted a General Distribution Provider Relief Fund payment. Providers who have already received payments of approximately 2 percent of annual revenue from patient care may submit more information to become eligible for an additional payment.
