Another major milestone yesterday at the new GVCO Community Center complex at Bacton Hill Rd. The crane arrived and the contractors began erecting the steel for the 1st phase of the facility.

This long-time goal for the community began in 2013, and our relentless approach through the years is paying off. A very dedicated Great Valley community is making this community asset a reality.

This is Phase 1 of the overall project. This was the time consuming, "tough" part of the project: land purchase, engineering, land development, approvals, and the majority of the sitework.

It was a highly coordinated effort by a great number of individuals from right here in our community. It cost the community millions of dollars to get us to the anticipated September 2023 opening of this Phase I of the project (Donor list). And it's going to cost the community millions of more dollars to finish all 3 Phases of the project.

Much of the success of any capital campaign comes from Employer Matching Gift Programs. Most corporations have a a matching gift program which enables you to have twice the impact with your contribution.

For this first phase of the project, if we could simply raise that same level of employer matching gifts, it would allow us to nearly pay for the entire plumbing in the building or all of the windows and doors.
