GaHIN Launches New Website
GaHIN has relaunched our website and we are excited to share the new look with you. As we strive to lead the health information technology industry in innovation and education, we think that it is important to make sure that members and potential members of GaHIN visit a website that is simple to navigate with relevant and useful information. 

In addition to the new, clean design, the website now boasts an intuitive search feature that allows users to enter terms to easily find the information they need. Under the Resources section, visitors can find the searchable GeorgiaDirect directory, a Member listing and downloadable documents.

When a provider sends a patient out the door with a prescription, it’s difficult to know if the patient will actually fill the prescription and take the drug. Data on prescription fills is one piece of information that can shed light on patient adherence as well as potential abuse of certain substances. This webinar will provide an overview of new technology offering medication fill information. We'll also take a look at how technology is helping address adherence and potential abuse.
How Interoperability Helps Hospitals Improve Patient Care and Care Coordination Across the Care Continuum - Wednesday, August 28
Hospitals and health systems often can use their EHR to exchange patient data, but what about when the patient has a history or current physician outside that system? A hospital CIO will be our special guest, discussing the role GaHIN plays within their organization. This includes coordination across the continuum of care, benefits achieved in improving outcomes and lowering costs, and how the HIE is integrated into their workflow.
Meet HI-BRIDGE Health Information Exchange
Georgia Health Connect has updated its name and branding, and is now HI-BRIDGE Health Information Exchange . 

"As we evolve along with the ever-changing health technology landscape, we are excited to expand our health IT support and service offerings to meet our members’ increasing needs," said Carmen Hughes, Executive Director and Administrator of Programs.

HI-BRIDGE Solutions (HBS), previously known as GA-HITEC, is a program within the Health IT Division of the National Center for Primary Care at Morehouse School of Medicine serving as a trusted advisor to clinicians in the redesign of healthcare delivery through electronic health record technology and other interoperable systems with the goal of improving clinical outcomes and the quality of care across patient populations and services.

HBS has developed the HI-BRIDGE Health Information Exchange (HIE), a regional health information exchange, that offers services for the successful exchange of confidential patient clinical information and interoperability to support optimal health outcomes in the greater community while eliminating the disparate gap of healthcare throughout Georgia and this nation.
