Music Access Miami aims to bring the transformational power of consistent, high-quality music education to all youth.
Music Access Miami launched a second year of investments in grassroots organizations serving youth through music with two funding tracks: Momentum Grants and Mini-Grants, powered by the generosity of philanthropist Daniel Lewis, and a network of arts and equity champions in Miami.
Recognizing the vast disparities in funding for Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) led arts organizations, Momentum Grants were designed to support BIPOC leaders in scaling, expanding, and/or deepening the impact of their organizations through multi-year grants of $150,000 per year, for up to three years. We are honored to announce The Children's Voice Chorus, Evolutionary Arts Life Foundation, and Teeny Violini as our 2022 Momentum Grant Partners and to support their missions of providing high-quality music education opportunities to youth in Miami-Dade.
Music Access Miami is also honored to announce eight organizations as 2022 Mini-Grant Partners. Mini-Grants are one-time grants of up to $7,500 to support programmatic and operational costs, prioritizing organizations with budgets under $500,000 annually. Organizations include A-Stone Music Therapy, Art Prevails Project, Friends of South Florida Music, Jazz Education Community Coalition, Music Mentor Network, Miami Jam Sessions, Orchestra Miami, and VIA Academy.
