As we prepare for our first Trunk or Treat in Mazomanie,

we need extra hands to make it successful!

We want to remind everyone that this year will look different than before, and different than in the future. We are excited to gather together for our first Trunk-or-Treat at The Grove!

Volunteer Opportunities!

Candy donations do not need signups and can be dropped off during office hours or on Sundays!

Confirmation Sunday: October 29

We are excited to celebrate our 2023 Confirmands!

Due to current space limitations, there will be a special service at 10:45am. This service is open for all, prioritizing space for confirmand family and friends.

Work has begun as they prepare to occupy several rooms in the East Wing of the building--including the Heights Unlimited Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, main office, sorting and storage spaces. First distribution will take place this November after making the transition from their current Black Earth site.

Watch for potential volunteer opportunities and opening celebrations!

NHLC Temporary Staffing Updates

Thank you to all who have stepped in to support our ministry and mission at NHLC in the last few weeks. We are grateful to share our new temporary staff members, all existing Mission Partners. They will be assisting, at least through December 2023, while our Personnel Team and Vision Team develop new hiring plans for 2024.

The Grove: Updates

Happy Anniversary!: Did you know that one year ago, this week, we were completing our Grove Cleanup Days? What a special memory... and to think of how far we've come in just 12 months. Thank you for your astounding labor of love--in skills, prayers, and patience. Praise God for His providence, grace, and blessing during this chapter of our faith community's story!

Various Construction Updates: Progress continues to be made!
Facade: The front siding installation has begun. We're excited to see this come to life as we establish our hospitality of welcome!
Roof Work: A section of our second-floor roof has been fully replaced! Work was complete Wednesday, as crews worked to finish before the season shift. Workers still finalizing HVAC and other roof finishes.
Drywall: Drywall went up this week and our space is coming to life!
Chapel: Our prayer team and Pastor Rob are working with some mission partners on the details of our future chapel!

Data and Cable Skills: Data pulling dates have been set for this November. Thank you to our skilled and capable mission partners for volunteering to lead and support once again! Contact Faith (faith@newheightslc.org ) to let her know if you'd like more information on the effort.

Access Cards: As work continues on policies and procedures at The Grove, an access card form has been created to help track and also establish clear expectations for those with access to the facility. Those currently with access cards: watch for an email from Faith with more information. The form will be required for ongoing and guest-key holders.

Team Celebration: This week, our Facilities Team and our Protection and Security Task Force had their fall check in to continue maintenance items and enhancements on our large facility. With our move to The Grove, the work of many of our teams has increased exponentially, and our Task Force has already made MAJOR differences in our systems and planning! Thank you for helping steward our physical needs at The Grove!

Vision Team & Staff Work: This month, our Vision Team and staff had their fall retreat and workshops! This is intentional time to pause the day-to-day, and check in on long-range planning and goals--especially as plans are made for our grand opening of The Grove and our transition out of construction. We were so grateful for time to dream and strategize together and are excited to share more in the months to come. Praise God for the diverse gifts, talents, and insights of those called to our leadership team!
