New Hiker Challenge Badges
Argyle Hiker Challenge Badge Launch Oct. 6
The Municipality of Argyle and Hike NS will launch the new Municipality of Argyle Badge on October 6 at 6pm at the Pubnico Point Trail.
District of Lunenburg Badge
The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and Hike NS have launched the District of Lunenburg Badge. The design has to be unveiled.

Hiking Summit 2021 Dates
Hike Nova Scotia is happy to announce the dates for the 2021 Hiking Summit: June 4, 5 and 6, 2021 (Fri. to Sun.). The Summit will be held in Chéticamp and is co-hosted by Hike NS with Les Hikers and Parks Canada. Registration will open in early 2021 and more information will become available at that time. Book your accommodations early to avoid disappointment.
Hike NS Courses & Webinars
Registration is open for Hike NS’s slate of fall 2020 courses and webinars. In-person courses include: Field Leader - Hiking; Navigation Maps & Compass; and Field Leader - Winter. Webinars include: Intro to Hiking; Leave No Trace; and Wildlife Encounters & Safety.

Fall Guided Hike Series
Hike NS and 17 host organizations offer the 2020 Fall Guided Hike Series across NS. There are over 30 hikes led by local folks and participants qualify to win “trail prizes.” These free hikes require pre-registration and will follow public health protocols, including social distancing.

Community Connections Trail Art
The Municipality of Chester is seeking proposals for public art pieces that will be permanent attractions along prominent sections of recreational trails in the Municipality. It will showcase local artists while encouraging trail use and making new connections between trail users and art. The call for proposals deadline is November 2. Learn more here.
