We are pleased to introduce Summer Jeffus, who has joined us as the Vice President, Business Development Officer, and Marketing Manager. Summer will play a significant role in providing business development and marketing support to California Statewide CDC's East Bay and Napa region. With over 15 years of experience in financial business development and promotions in Commercial Real Estate lending, Small Business Administration (SBA), and Retail Banking, Summer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.
BACKGROUND
Before joining California Statewide CDC, Summer served as the VP of Regional Business Development at Exchange Bank. There, she provided specialized financial leadership in agribusiness, wine, food manufacturing, and community support across all banking departments, including SBA and Commercial lending, to support Exchange Bank's $3.33B assets and $1.51B loan portfolio.
She was also the Regional Marketing Manager at American AgCredit, managing all aspects of marketing and community support for the Northern CA Region and territories in the Central Valley. She was responsible for a $2B portfolio within 15 counties. She worked with the agricultural financial community, including diverse real estate and leasing programs.
EDUCATION
Summer's educational journey at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, culminated in a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business with an emphasis in Sales/Marketing and a minor in Viticulture. Her thirst for knowledge led her to earn certifications as a Certified Sommelier and a Specialist of Wine (CSW). Her professional achievements include being honored with the North Bay Business Journal's Forty Under 40 Award 2019 and being featured in Sonoma West Magazine's Women in Business Spotlight 2018. She also serves on the boards of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau (District 4), Naturally North Bay, and Santa Rosa Junior College Agricultural Alliance. Summer's passion for community service is evident in her role on the Sonoma Marin Boys and Girls Club advisory board and her VIP guest sommelier position for the Sonoma County Wine Auction. She also contributes her skills as a guest auctioneer for the PBS Travel and Wine Auction.
When Summer is not pursuing her entrepreneurial and community support passions, she can be found gardening or casting a line in the water, hoping to catch the next big fish.
