New Hires GIC Benefit Reduced Waiting Period (RWP)

We would like to remind you that your role as a GIC Coordinator is critical to the success of the the New Hires GIC Benefit Reduced Waiting Period (RWP) implementation, which will be effective starting Monday July 1, 2024.



If you haven't already, the GIC strongly encourages you to:

1. Share this communication with HR and Payroll employees in your agency.
2. Watch the Municipal RWP training recording.
3. Download the Municipal RWP training presentation.
4. Review the GIC's RWP administrative bulletin to ensure you and your agency are aware of the operational requirements needed for the July 1st implementation.
5. Review Frequently Asked Questions. Please note, we will be updating the FAQs regularly as we receive additional questions, so check back often for new information as it is added.
