Together Again: Catching Up & Looking Ahead

Friends of the PRCHN — it’s been a little while since you’ve heard from us, and we’re so glad to reconnect! While the future of federal public health investments may feel uncertain, one thing remains constant: our commitment to bringing community partners and university researchers together to create lasting strategies that improve health. There’s still so much important work ahead, and we’re grateful to continue this journey with you.

In this issue, you’ll find updates we’re especially excited to share:

  • Our New Home – PRCHN has moved to the Midtown Collaboration Center.
  • Growing Faculty Associates – Meet the new researchers who have joined us.
  • Seminar Series Returns – A fresh season of learning, back in person.
  • CCYWI Fall Trainings – New professional development opportunities for youth-serving professionals.

Thank you for being part of the PRCHN community — we look forward to seeing you soon, whether at a seminar, training, or just stopping by our new space. And don’t forget to connect with us on LinkedIn to stay up to date on the latest news and opportunities!

We've Moved!

The PRCHN has a new home! As of March 2025, we’re now located at the Midtown Collaboration Center, 1974 E. 66th Street in Cleveland. We now share this vibrant location with colleagues from the CWRU Swetland Center for Environmental Health, the CWRU MPH Program, and the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Office of Community Outreach and Engagement, among others.

Our Faculty Associates Have Grown!

Over the past year, the PRCHN welcomed three new CWRU researchers as Faculty Associates — and some may be familiar faces:

This year’s PRCHN Seminar Series will help reacquaint you with all of our Faculty Associates and showcase the impactful work of their teams.

PRCHN Seminar Series Returns!

This year’s Seminar Series will spotlight PRCHN Faculty Associates, showcasing recent work and collaborations. We’re returning to an in-person format at the Midtown Collaboration Center, 4 PM on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, with a virtual option always available. Join us afterward at Black Frog Brewery on the first floor of MCC to continue the conversation.

The PRCHN Seminar Series kicks off this week on October 8 at 4:00 pm with Dr. Holly Hartman presenting "Uses and Variations of Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomization Trials (SMARTs) in Health Behavior Research."

Register HERE for Wednesday's seminar. Free parking is available behind the MidTown Collaboration Center- enter the lot on E. 65th, between Chester Ave and Euclid Ave.
