Citrus season continues, and our home harvest teams have arranged more opportunities for volunteers to have fun and learn while helping people in the community receive fresh fruit from the abundance in our suburban neighborhoods. Here's what's new:
We have a large and diverse community of volunteers, including many with fruit trees of their own, and we're pleased to highlight additional educational and volunteer events hosted by other local organizations. You can learn to prune fruit trees and get hands-on practice at free workshops by Our City Forest this weekend Saturday February 28 or on March 21, or volunteer to help Acterra and Veggielution prepare the site of a new Community Food Forest in East San Jose on March 7.
