WHY IT IS GOOD TO PRAY   ABOUT LITTLE THINGS

I am so grateful for the rain. God always provides what we need. God cares about everything that touches our lives. It is easy to let God’s faithfulness slip from our minds at times. Especially when He is not answering our prayers the way we want Him to.

I love to listen to children pray. Their prayers are very simple and honest. A child may pray “God, please help daddy come home fast and play with me.” Or “Help me to have good dreams tonight.”

When I pray, I tend to focus on things that I think are more substantial. I pray for someone who is battling cancer. I pray for friends who are struggling with unemployment. I don’t often pray about little things. God is our father and longs for us to share our needs, both big and small with Him so He can give us good gifts (Matthew 7:7-12). I need to remember that no prayer is too small or insignificant.

Does God Care about the Little Things that Happen in Our Lives?

The short answer – “yes.” God absolutely cares about the little things in our lives since He’s numbered the hairs of our head (Luke 12:7). From another perspective, if the nations are “as dust on the scales,” what is big to God? (Isaiah 40:15).
