BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOME OF NC ANNUAL FOOD ROUNDUP

During the month of April, New Hope will be collecting the

following requested items for the BCH:

Paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, keenex, pop tarts, and sugar.

This is one of the most vital ways we can meet a physical need with

a spiritual one because many of the NC foster care boys and girls go

without food, love, and hope.

Place your items in the hallway wood bins between the

library and nursery by April 27.

NEW HOPE TOWN HALL/BUSINESS MEETING

Save the date: Sunday, April 27 @ 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

MESSAGE FROM SAFETY & SECURITY

Your Safety & Security Team has been working closely with New Hope leadership to make our church campus a safer and more secure place of worship. Recently we arranged for an officer from the Raleigh Police Department to do a security assessment of our church buildings and campus grounds. His input was very beneficial, and some of the recommended security enhancements have already been implemented. For example, you have probably noticed that many of the bushes close to the building have been pruned back very close to the ground. This is especially noticeable around the Calvary Road side near the office. They will grow back this summer but we will keep them trimmed so they remain on two or three feet high. This one step adds a level of safety for our staff, preschool students, and teachers.

Another recommended change is to dismantle the outside stage. It should be noted that taking this down was discussed with church members who were involved with the initial construction and plan for that platform. They are in full agreement about taking it down.

As we move forward over the next months there will be additional changes, some hardly noticeable, some more obvious. In either case, please know that they are all being made with lots of thought and discussion between the church leadership, the Safety & Security Team, as well as professionals who can provide appropriate input.

In Christ,

New Hope Safety & Security Team
