The Only God
"I am the Lord and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord and there is no other." Isaiah 45:5-6
God, we praise you as the one true God and there is no other like you. We confess that in our hearts we make people, things, and even ourselves as gods in our lives. We thank you that you gave your only begotten son to die
for our sins so that we could be reconciled to you with full access to come
into your presence. Thank you Lord that you strengthen us even when we do
not acknowledge you. Lord, awaken in us a desire to live a life that points to you as our God and brings Glory to your name, and bears fruit for
your kingdom.
Please pray for the Prayer and Worship Night on Sunday, 5/18 that it will be well attended, pleasing, and honoring to the Lord.
