Church Plant Partner Work Days
A few weeks ago, I shared the exciting news of a church plant, Ridgetop Church, who New Hope is partnering with and supporting to reach the central Austin community. I find it just like God to take a dying church and give it new life so His name and the hope of Jesus will continue to reach people in an area that needs it.
Ridgetop Church was blessed with a building for use, and it is strategically located near many students, single working people and families. The neighborhood is bustling with life, and the prayer of this church is to see it become a part of the life of the families who live there.
This building, however, needs a major update in order to be more functional for the church's needs. You can be a part of helping this church plant by participating in some upcoming work days. Ridgetop will be working to get the building into shape for their first worship service launch at the end of August. Projects include: demo of walls, removal of ceiling panels, painting and relocation of playground equipment.
If you are able to participate, the church also asks that you bring extra crow bars or hammers that you have. Lunch will be provided. Work days are 9:00 am-3:00 pm on June 25, July 9 and July 16. To sign-up for a work day, email Robert at robert@ridgetopchurch.org; for questions about this church plant, email Leonard at leondardp@discovernewhope.com.
