Parents and Kids Exploring Easter Together
Jesus' journey to the cross was filled with many important moments. Parents and kids have been exploring those moments together through New Hope's Journey to Easter, organized by New Hope Kids.
Journey to Easter allows parents and kids to see, hear, touch and even taste the things that Jesus did on his final journey on earth. Last year over 200 individuals from the community and our church participated in Journey to Easter, as well as many volunteer actors. One volunteer was Kisha Wallace.
In reflecting over her past two years of serving at Journey to Easter, Kisha shared, "I love that we are reaching so many families who don't come to New Hope or have a church home. That is by far the best thing about Journey to Easter!" Kisha sees the families participating and believes this experience gives them a foundation to have deeper conversations about Easter at home.
When asked if Journey to Easter has impacted her personally, Kisha shared, "Yes. First of all if gives me a chance to serve with my family. It also reminds me and brings me closer to the Lord, thinking about the sacrifice He made to give me eternal life."
Because of it's interactive structure, Journey to Easter is an easy way for families of elementary kids to understand the important things Jesus taught and what it cost Him to save us. You can sign up your family today to participate. Invite friends and neighbors to come learn more about Easter, and ultimately what Jesus has done for them, in this fun way!
