Generosity in Action
One thing that always amazes me, but never surprises me, about New Hope is how generous our people are. You rise to every call, every need, and I thank you for it.
I want to share an update on our ministry budget to date. From January to mid-July, we felt the effects of the inflation in our economy, and we developed a $137,000 budget deficit. In mid-July, the New Hope staff team took steps to cut back on spending without hurting on-going ministry plans, and communicated the situation to the church.
In only 10 weeks (mid-July to mid-September), the budget deficit has been cut from $137,000 to $41,150. This progress in such a short time represents your generosity in action!
Giving generously of our time and treasure are both signs of a healthy church. It was inspiring Sunday to see all the expressions of serving, of ministry at our church and with our community at the Ministry Fair. This is a beautiful picture of generosity in action. I am so grateful to serve in a church with such a big heart, ready to sacrifice for the cause of Christ!
