You're So Generous
It always amazes, but never surprises, me how generous our church is. It's such a good vital sign of a healthy church. Time and time again, New Hopers have faithfully given of their time and treasure, and made important ministry moments happen!
Our driving purpose as a church is to help people Discover Christ, Develop in Christ, and Deploy for Christ (serve). This 3-step method is New Hope's way of fulfilling the last instructions Jesus gave the church, to "go and make disciples" (Matthew 28:18-20). When you give generously of both your time and treasure (financial sacrifice), you help fulfill this vision from Christ.
Results of Your Giving
Your giving has a direct impact. Did you know that? Here are just a few ways your giving has reached people with Christ:
--106,081 families and individuals received food and other home items in 2022 through our partnership with Reveal Resource Center. From these families and individuals, 120 made decisions to accept Christ as Savior.
--55 households received community and care in 2022 from our partnership with Partners in Hope. Volunteers from New Hope have participated in some of the 53 fellowship and discipleship gatherings that took place, creating caring relationships with these community members.
--213 kids and parents participated in our Journey to Easter program, an interactive experience that teaches different scenes in the Easter s tory, from Jesus' triumphant entry to His resurrection and ascension. Several attendees were guests.
--Over 1,700 people joined us for Easter, in-person and online. That's 1,700 people who heard the gospel story! We had about 50 guest families join us for Easter.
Let's Keep It Up
Your giving this first quarter has had an amazing impact! I want to encourage you to keep it up. Currently, we are short about 6% of our budget goal. Our staff has worked proficiently in managing financial resources, and has been able to cut that amount to 3% of the resources needed to date vs. resources given.
Historically, our first quarter giving is usually lower compared to our other quarters. In April, our giving has picked up, and it is my prayer that we will continue to make progress so we can fully resource all the great ministry plans we have for the upcoming year, especially the summer ones for our kids and student ministries.
If you consider New Hope your church home, I encourage you to join me in prayer and continued faithfulness!
