Helping Teachers Start Strong
"This is such a gift! And so humbling!" Those were some overheard comments from teachers of Bagdad Elementary about volunteers from New Hope last week.
For the 2022-2023 school year, New Hope has adopted Bagdad Elementary School in efforts to provide care, support and build strong relationships with the staff. On Aug. 3 and 8, we kicked-off our support with an appreciation breakfast for teachers as they started up their training before school started.
Last week, about 30 volunteers showed up two days before school to help teachers move furniture, prep school materials, and do some overall clean-up at the school. Teachers were delighted and tremendously grateful for the extra help getting things ready for their year to begin strong.
As we continue to show Bagdad our love and support, you will see future opportunities for you to volunteer and bless staff and student families. Our next opportunity is on Sept. 26, in which you can help set-up a "Buccee's Station" (snack table) for teachers as they do in-service training (no school for students).
Please be praying for growth in our relationship with the staff and student families, as well as how your family can be a part of showing our support for this school.
