We are happily located S .O.M.S (Slightly Off Main Street) in Saluda, NC. Saluda sits just at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains at 2100 feet. Since 1995,we've been nestled into this tiny mountain town as a retail shop & many changes in those years have affected us in positive ways. In 2010 we found ourselves purchasing, renovating & occupying a 100 year old building which was once a house . We have plenty of parking, including ADA accessibility to make your visit here fun & effortless.

Something changes every day

Hello from Random Arts,

As much as I want to refrain from mentioning the upcoming season, the facts are the facts & the calendar doesn't lie. Soon we will be traveling to be with family & friends for Thanksgiving and that reminded me about past gatherings with my family.
I always feel tongue-tied when it's my turn, but I am not sure why. (hard to believe that I would be tongue tied) This year I want to be authentic & wholehearted when it comes to sharing my feelings of gratitude. You too, can start thinking about that so that you are well prepared to speak your authentic feelings. As you read on, I'll be expressing my gratitude to you with complete sincerity.
I'm grateful that you have supported me this past year while the shop was undergoing major changes. You have adapted to the construction & the change of venue. Your support has meant a lot to me & has helped me endure this transitional year.
So, special thanks to each one of you and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Our newly transformed areas of our shop will be filled with luscious winter clothing & accessories. Behind every nook and cranny you'll find the perfect gift for that special someone on your holiday list.

Never a dull moment here at the shop as we continue to mix it up here and you'll never know exactly what you will find that you "just have to have!"

Along with shopping adventures, we will again, team up with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the big event in February, but you have to start now!
The project, "Have a Heart" with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Polk County, NC begins now. It's not too early to start thinking about your contribution to this great fundraiser in February 2020.

Just remember, it must be a "heart theme" so it's time to get your muse on and start thinking about your contribution to this great cause. We will have ceramic hearts available here at the shop and we will be collecting your completed projects for the Upstairs Gallery. The deadline for your completed art work will be mid January and contact person for more questions is Karen Dacey .

As it turns out, I do have lots more creative art supplies & found objects for another outdoor sale.

What does this mean to you? Well, if you are a seller, you have almost 6 months to start getting your items together, so you can turn those into CASH! Yes, cash it is and anyone who has ever set up a booth here knows what a great crowd of buyers turn up for this event each and every time. They are looking for what you have and now's the time to start boxing up those unwanted craft supplies, art supplies, found objects, vintage finds and more.
