Marantz 10 Series Components

Marantz 10 Series

Online reviewer, Youthman, visited the Marantz showing at CEDIA 2024 of the new Model 10 amplifier, SACD 10 SACD/CD player, and the LINK 10n Streamer/preamplifier. He meets with Gary Dayton "Senior Product Planner" and Phil Jones "Director of Global Brand Activation at Masimo Consumer" to learn about these exciting new products. Phil starts by explaining that he has watched the development of these unique products for the last five years. He notes that the engineers were given a vast budget for the product so there was no compromise on what extent they could go to in developing these products. The new 10 series is the reference of audio products from Marantz.

In the Model 10 amplifier they co-developed a new amplifier module with PureFi. There is a dual mono power supply delivering 500 watts per channel at 4 ohms 250 at 8 ohms. Everything from input to output is dual mono balanced design circuitry. Every part is built in house in Japan! Every part is carefully considered.

The new SACD 10 has anew Marantz built transport. It has balanced electrical design. The DAC is also new. The DAC has external inputs. The LINK 10n is the flagship streamer. It is more than a streamer, it has HEOS Built-In, it also has a full analog preamplifier with a phono stage equivalent to the Model 10.

The LINK 10n can be a preamplifier to join up to 4 mono configured Model 10 amplifiers for biamplification or individual stereo to run the Nautilus.

Russound CEDIA Expo 2024

Russound CEDIA Expo 2024

At CEDIA Expo 2024, Russound's Charlie Porritt took Sound & Vision on a tour of their new products. They have 7 new amplifiers including an 8 channel, 12 channel, 16 channel, a 2-channel by 200 watts, and both a 2.1 and a 3.1 mini AV receiver.

They introduced a matching 3 channel soundbar to go with the 3.1 AVR. It comes with a wall bracket or to a TV bracket. It is engineered with an angle on the ends so it will not hit the wall with a TV moving mount.

They also showed an 8x8 and 16x16 controller for automation. They have a streamer built in, Bluetooth and 50 watts per channel on the 8x8. The 16 x16 is a preamp version to give flexibility to those who need 70 volt or more power.
