Last week, we hosted a team from the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance and took them on a tour of Cabarrus County. As they work to bring new business to our region, we wanted to showcase our community and show them all we have to offer -- both in terms of real estate and relationships.

Complete Design and Packaging

Have you ever grabbed something from one of those colorful cardboard displays in the aisle at the grocery store? There’s a good chance that display was printed right here in Cabarrus County .

Family-owned and operated in Concord for close to 20 years, Complete Design and Packaging has grown from a small brown box manufacturer into a plant specializing in high-graphics packaging and point of purchase displays. Just in the last two years, they’ve installed four brand new, state of the art machines – two of which were the first of their kind in the entire country. This may not mean much to the average person, but for CDP, this means that they’ve been able to expand their operation and their footprint. As they’ve grown in capability, they’ve also grown their staff, now totaling over 100 full-time employees.

Sysco Chef Wins Lottery, Donates Winnings

Many would consider chef Roberto Mendoza a lucky man. But after winning a six-figure lottery prize, he will now be paying his good fortune forward.

During his time as a chef, he has had the opportunity to cook for presidents of the US, catered the Academy Awards and often hosted parties attended by A-list celebrities. Mendoza moved the Charlotte, NC, ran his own restaurant for a time and now works for Sysco Foods Service. Despite his many accolades, Mendoza told TODAY Food he's never actually won anything before.

New Industrial Park to Bring Opportunities

Fortius Capital Partners made an exciting announcement in September 2018 about a new industrial development that will be constructed at 700 Pitts School Road NW in Concord, North Carolina. The new development, named Meadows Corporate Park, will comprise of two multi-tenant industrial buildings with excellent access and exposure to I-85.

Through its affiliate, Fortius-Richardson, LLC, the company will deliver approximately $9,900,000 in new tax investment in Cabarrus County. The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and Concord City Council has also supported and approved a three-year performance-based tax incentive totaling $181,764 for Cabarrus County and $121,176 for the City of Concord.
