Twenty-five rising juniors and seniors from York County high schools were selected to participate in Life-Changing Education and Life-Shaping Experiences related to the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. New-Indy Catawba was an educational exhibitor in the STEM Career Expo. It had three employees there representing maintenance and production, electricity, instrumentation, and papermaking at the mill.

The program highlighted STEM and included hands-on learning and problem-solving activities to help students understand the scope of STEM. The session concluded by showing students how STEM skills translate into real-world career opportunities.
