About James Williams (Owner & Designer of LAD) At an early age, James fulfilled his love for designing by creating cartoon characters for his friends. As he got older he designed logos for associates but realized that designing logos was just the beginning to his passion. Inspired to work for himself instead of others, after losing his job, James looked into designing his own hat line and for a year he consistently worked on prototypes until he finally created Life After Design. James' love for art, music and nostalgia directed him towards a path of creating a line that people can actually see and feel the creativity come from it. Originality and quality are two things that what it takes to be a New Yorker and James created LAD to represent that. Determined to give his customers a brand that will allow them to express themselves, James is on a mission to complete that goal.
