Ascendia Pharma To Expand Injectable Manufacturing

The company will unveil its new injectables manufacturing program with the launch of a state-of-the-art sterile cGMP production facility. Ascendia Pharma is a resident of New Jersey Bioscience Center and a graduate of the Incubator at North Brunswick.


BioAegis Therapeutics Unveils Upcoming Phase 2 Study

In addition to announcing site recruitment for a Phase 2 study of recombinant human gelsolin (BTI-203) BioAegis also announced Howard Levy M.B.B.Ch., PhD., M.M.M. as CMO, as they plan for execution of a Phase 2 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome study. 

BioAegis is a resident of New Jersey Bioscience Center and a graduate of the Incubator at North Brunswick.


TheWELL Bioscience Product Launch

In December, the company launched its VitroGel-Based Cell Invasion Assay Kit as a product that accelerates how researchers study cell migration and invasion. TheWELL Bioscience is a resident of the Incubator at North Brunswick.


Genomic Prediction and Inherent Biosciences Annouce Partnership

Genomic Prediction is a graduate of the Incubator at North Brunswick and a current resident of New Jersey Bioscience Center. 

Founder’s Profile -

Dr. Amy Liao,

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Couragene Incubator at North Brunswick resident, Couragene, is a genetic medicine company using novel delivery platforms and in-licensed technology from Yale University. The company’s cofounders recently secured $40M from the NIH for the development of its delivery platform for genome editing. Prior to launching Couragene, Dr. Liao was President of Azenta Life Sciences Services. She joined Azenta Life Sciences in November 2018 following its acquisition of GENEWIZ, a global provider of genomics services, which she co-founded in 1999. GENEWIZ is a graduate of the Incubator at North Brunswick and grew to over 1200 employees worldwide at the time of its acquisition. Dr. Liao held various leadership positions during her tenure at GENEWIZ culminating in her appointment as Chief Executive Officer in January 2017. In 2020, Dr. Liao received the coveted Biomedical Engineering Society's Wallace A. Coulter award for innovation in healthcare. In 2010, Dr. Liao along with Dr. Steve Sun, co-founder of GENEWIZ, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2010 Award in the Services category for New Jersey. Dr. Liao graduated with a bachelor's degree from Nankai University, a master's degree from Tsinghua University, and a PhD in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Stony Brook University.

John Crowley, founder of Princeton-based Amicus Therapeutics, a company that is developing needed cures and innovations, was named the new CEO of BIO. BIO is the world’s largest trade association representing biotechnology companies. Amicus is a graduate of the Incubator at North Brunswick.


Aucta Pharma Launches MOTPOLY for Seizure Treatment

Incubator at North Brunswick graduate, Aucta Pharmaceuticals, recently introduced MOTPOLY XR, an innovative once-daily treatment for partial-onset seizures in adults and pediatric patients.


NJBIO Inc. Awarded Best CRO

Incubator at North Brunswick graduate, NJBIO Inc., recently announced that it was the recipient of the “Best Contract Research Organization” Award at the 10th Annual World ADC Awards. 

 

Crystal Pharmatech Announce Partnership with CATUG

The two specialized organizations will provide clients with comprehensive nucleic acid services and analytical solutions in the North American market. Crystal Pharmatech is a graduate of the Incubator at North Brunswick. 


Pharmanest Published In Liver International

Tthe company’s research, led by Dr. Mathieu Petithjean, recently made the cover page of the peer reviewed journal Liver International. Princeton based Pharmanest is a graduate of the Incubator at North Brunswick.

RegenLab Relocates from NYC to 95 Greene in Jersey City

RegenLab USA manufactures devices for the production of regenerative cell therapy. The company will move to Thor Equities’ Liberty Innovation Center which is located near Exchange Place on the Hudson River. Originally a Colgate toothpaste site, 95 Greene Street is an eight-story, 350,000-square-foot property redeveloped for life sciences.

New Jersey Bioscience Center, a 300,000 SF, 50 acre research park that includes the Incubator at North Brunswick, with 27 private wet labs and the multi-tenant Step-Out Labs at North Brunswick for growing biotech companies. Larger life sciences space ranging from 5000 – 32,000 SF.
