KMMS student Krin Blegen’s documentary “Sending A Message:
How Postcards Communicated Terror
to a Race of Americans” was shown at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History on June 16 after taking first place in the individual documentary category at the National History Day.
Blegen and her teacher Terry Kaldhusdal were interviewed for a lengthy feature to discuss her 10-minute video on the history of lynching in America, the postcards used to spread the atrocities and the similarities to how hate is being spread through the internet today.
