Does your tween like to bake/cook? Sign up for one or all five workshops and your child will learn valuable and fun skills in the kitchen. Busing from FRES and Henrietta Schools with pre-program supervision can be arranged. Space is limited. Register for one or all five classes.

The Eric Carle Story Show

Saturday & Sunday, November 9 & 10, 11am & 2pm; JCC Hart Theater

TYKEs launches its 20^th season with the regional premiere of this brand new show, based on four books by the internationally-renowned author-illustrator Eric Carle. Nominated for multiple awards including Best New Play and Best Direction, The Eric Carle Story Show features 45 handcrafted puppets operated by world-class puppeteers. Help the Very Hungry Caterpillar on his timeless journey with beloved characters from Little Cloud, From Head to Toe, and The Very Quiet Cricket. One weekend only!

Family Sports Day with Ryan Lavarnway

Storytime!

Monday, November 11 (Veteran’s Day), JCC Hart Theater

11am–12pm

Ages 5+

Retired major league baseball player and Olympian Ryan Lavarnway – recently named the 11th most influential Jewish athlete of all time – will read aloud his new children's picture book Baseball and Belonging and answer audience questions about major league baseball! Ryan's message is universal, encouraging everyone to find what makes them feel a sense of belonging and connectedness. Autographs available after storytime. Registration required for storytime presentation.

Following Ryan's presentation, meet him in person for a photo op – along with Red Wings mascot Spikes – and enjoy sporty games and activities including a bouncy house in the gym! Kosher hotdog lunch available for purchase in Aud A.
